With “Who’s in Your Garden”, you’ll be able to identify over 150 of the most common birds throughout North America and Europe. We have included over 175 photos and illustrations to help with identification.
Illustrations by Louis Agasiz Fuertes, Ernst Haeckel, John Audubon, Johann Andreas Naumann, and many others are included in this bird identification book.
Only $9.95!
In “Who’s in Your Garden”, we use common names for each of the birds, plus you will also get the AOU (American Ornithologists Union) names for each and every one of our feathered friends.
We have included a forward by John Bouroughs, one of the foremost experts in Ornithology at the turn of the 20th century. This forward first appeared in a book titled Bird Neighbors, printed in 1897 (Who’s in Your Garden is based on Bird Neighbors), and is just as viable today as it was then. Some of the language is different, but the birds are still the same!
In the forward, you will probably think “Why can’t this guy spell?” or “What in the world is he talking about?”! We have left the spelling just as it was then. For instance, the word “clews”, today is spelled “clues.” That is how John spelled them, so that’s the way we left them. Also, the phrase “opera glass”, is binoculars in today’s language!
Available in both American (8×10) and British (A4) page sizes, just choose which one you would like from the drop down menu in the shopping cart. You will get both a little bit of history and a ton of Bird information with “Who’s In Your Garden?”, so get your copy today for only $9.95!
